Specialities

Many clients come to therapy seeking relief from deep personal pain. Some may feel overwhelmed by their struggles, while others experience a constant, dull anxiety that makes them feel disconnected from the world, as if there's a barrier between them and others. Therapy can be a pathway to relief from this pain and anxiety, helping you reconnect with loved ones and the world around you.

No matter what brings you to therapy, success comes from building a caring and understanding relationship. Even when we focus on specific skills, we also look at how your feelings connect to your relationships, your body, and your place in the world.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples on a range of issues, including anxiety, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, identity questions, mood disorders, and personality disorders. My approach is tailored to each individual, using methods like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP), and psychodynamic therapy.

Every person’s journey is unique, but my focus is always on helping you understand yourself better within the context of your relationships. Counseling is most effective when it empowers you to pursue what you want in life and creates opportunities for fulfillment where there weren’t any before. My goal is for each person who comes to me to leave with renewed access to what they once felt they had lost.

I am currently under the supervision of Amy Reamer, LMFT, and Melissa Horowitz, LPC.
